Our story
Logos Classical Academy began as an informal conversation among family and friends about the need for a school focused on a high view of academics with a Biblical worldview. Casual conversation gave way to more specific plans in the summer of 2020 which culminated with the formation of board of directors, selection of the school’s name and incorporation as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization on October 28, 2020. The Logos Classical Academy name denotes our commitment to the Holy Bible as the authoritative source of knowledge and the ultimate authority in our lives while also encompassing our desire to follow a classical model of teaching and learning. The founding teachers at the academy had been teaching classically in their homes and co-ops for years. and Logos and our students became the beneficiaries of their dedication and expertise when we officially opened our doors to our first students in August of 2021.
Our Mission: equipping students to live wisely with virtue and knowledge
At Logos Classical Academy, our mission is to provide a classical education with a biblical worldview.
We aim to not only get students ready for college and the workforce, but to prepare them for life. One of the ways we do this is by emphasizing the tools of learning, a distinctive feature of classical education, so that students learn not simply what to think, but how to think. With these tools, they will be equipped to tackle every subject that God sets on their path, and will be able to think critically, and to communicate persuasively.
